Months 5-7

I'm SUCH a slacker. Well..not really, but it's been haunting me that I haven't updated this blog. Ethan had RSV when he turned 5 months old. It was horrible. He had a cough for a couple days since Monday night. One of the girls I babysit for had a cough on Friday and then I got a sore throat monday and went to the dr who said it was just allergies and then Monday night Ethan got a cough but Wes didn't want me to be one of those paranoid parents and bring him in for everything By Saturday he had a fever and when I counted his respirations he was breathing like 70 times a minute. So we went to the ER. They gave him a breathing treatment and then on the next Monday we got the positive RSV result at his follow up. So he had a home inhaler he used a few times. It took about 2-3 weeks for the whole thing to run its course so that kept me pretty busy month 5. Ethan had his well baby check up about a week in a half ago. He was 16 lb 11 oz and they measured him at 26 1/2 inches long..but I dunno cuz I measured him at 27 like an inch prior. Anyway, He can crawl. Sit up on his own. Pull himself up..he can even stand one handed now. Last night I saw him sitting up on his knees with no support. He's so strong. He says "Da-da" "yia" "ba ba". He learned the sign for milk before Christmas and his Auntie Kristen thought he was waving to her! I was so proud. He also does the sign for toilet/potty but I'm not sure he associates it yet. He also is getting his first tooth. It's in the bottom in the middle, it started poking through about a week ago but progress seems to have stopped..which is fine by me because I'm not sure how much I'll like nursing him with teeth! He turned 7 months on Fri (6 days ago). He is still exclusively breastfed (as in he doesnt eat any food yet at all). I'm soooo proud of myself for being able to keep him strictly on breast milk and for this long. I will continue as long as he keeps gaining weight and seems satisfied by it. :)  He still is in his 0-3 clothes today I noticed his 3 month carters pants seemed a little short, so it may be time to retire them! He loves his Scout and this basketball hoop toy I got him for Christmas. He also apparently likes Dumbo "Elephants on Parade" I left him with his dad for the first time this past week to go to my new part-time job. It was so hard I had such bad anxiety I cried! Wes couldn't believe it. I was ok once I got there, but I never thought it'd be so hard leaving my little baby!

Here are some pics from his 6 month/Christmas photos!
